TASMANIA NEEDS ADVOCATES NOT ABBOTT APOLOGISTS

"No cuts to education, no cuts to health, no change to pensions, no change to the GST and no cuts to the ABC" – the commitment of a would-be Prime Minister on the eve of a federal election.

 

Sixteen months later and a $1.6 billion cut to health and education has led to the slashing of teachers and nurses in Tasmania and a campaign to cut support for university students by 20 per cent looms large.
